Neale, or anyone else that may have the answer to this...

I have recently purchased a laptop which I take to work. Am I able to put a copy of PPPro onto this laptop so I can make the appropriate scratching changes at work, therefore finalising my daily selections?

Some would state that I should transfer this all to my laptop, but I wish to keep my home PC as my PPRo machine.

Thanks in advance...

OM

Hi.. obviously can't speak for Neale but its very likely he would be happy to supply a separate computer no# for your lap top..experience has shown me its best to download the latest version of the program and then copy over the data base

You are allowed two passwords so you can run the program on a desktop and laptop or perhaps an office and home computer. The only issue is you have to import new meetings to both computers if you want them on both and it is not easy to transfer edits and scratchings from one computer to the other. Of course scratchings will update automatically from the results files even if you never key them in prior to the races being run.

To instal on a second computer it is best to transfer the past data first (if you want it) and then instal the program rather than the other way around. And if copying from a CD make sure the data files are not made read-only as this will cause problems when trying to run the program.

Neale,

thanks for that. I will now run PPPro on both.

I am sure that this wasn't the answer my employer wanted

Regards,

OM
