Wink Default and JT Algorithym

It seems to be a never-ending interest for me when researching/analysing the neurals. The latest:

1) Default settings,
2) Outright top in the JT category.

Saturday's results:
19 selections
10 winners for a Unitab return of $37.00
13 placegetters for a return of $20.80.

Sunday
10 selections
4 winners for a return of $28.70
7 placegetters for a return of $13.50

Yesterday
5 selections
2 winners for a return of $6.40
3 placegetters for a return of $3.80.

Over the three days there have been a total of 34 selections for 16 winners and a return of $72.10, and 23 placegetters for a return of $38.10.

If there are any selections today I will list them here.

Hi M.G.

Reading the first few lines of your post reminds me of,
What i was attempting many years ago with the Neurals.

With the J/T combo make sure the jockey listed on the Neurals,
Is the actual one who rides the horse on the day.

You will find as the Neurals come out 1-2 days before the race,
Quite often the Jockey will be different thus rendering that,
Particular rating as useless.

Good luck with it all in the future.

Cheers.
Garyf.

Garyf.
Should have added over the years it was only certain,
Jockey - Trainer combos that actually made profits. overall It resulted in a loss.

I ended up going to the racenet website for this as the data,
Became larger most profitable combos became "UNPROFITABLE"

Haven't looked at the Neurals for a while now maybe this one
Has improved.

Cheers.
Garyf.

Hi, Garyf.

Years ago one of my friends had identified a few top trainers and if certain jockeys rode any of those trainers' horses he would back them. According to my friend there weren't too many selections but he was showing a good profit.

So I'm hopeful...

Two selections today:

Taree
5/5

Townsville
5/6

Hi, SB.

I don't think it qualified.

According to my default neurals it didn't have the highest total points nor in the JT category?

I must have different settings as it is on top in the JT in mine. I didn''t realise it had to be top rated overall.
Thanks Michael.

MG, I checked out your results from yesterday and I beleive the selections were:
Warrnambool R4/1 W$4.70 P$1.50
Armidale R6/5 x P$1.30
R7/2 W$1.70 P$1.00
R8/2 x x
Bathurst R3/1 x x

Gross Return W$6.40 P$3.80
Less cost of bets $5.00 $5.00
Profit $1.40 -$1.20

Total nett profit $0.20

I hope I'm wrong but it appears the POT was only 2%, RP

Hi, RP.

Your figures for yesterday agree with mine - a small profit of $0.20 for each way betting.

One of today's two races has already been run - the selection was unplaced.
