And when you have THAT HUGE an Overlay , there ain't no need to go looking at other Pools , at least not at this stage.

You remember "ANOMALY NICK" what you emailed me a year or so ago Woof43?
I'm playing around with that!

There is a flaw in the "Paradox of Odds" but I'll let you find that out over time.

Your better off just trying to find what your strike rate is then find what your break even price will be and then only invest on runners that are longer then your break even price.

That is what Darren was doing I'm sure, he knew his spot play strike rate and just found what his break even was and invested accordingly with great success.

I'm thinking people aren't coming to grips with the new split times for Meadows and Sandown, both tracks have thrown up some great winners since the change occured.

It doesn't help when both race clubs are in denial that the tracks hav'nt changed

I don't know of the flaw , but I am not using it as a System as provided.
It is a guide that I am using beside my usual Market Making method.

But it has dropped my annnalysis from over an hour , down to less than 20 minutes or so.

Darren was no mathemetician, I've seen his work , but he knew when Favourites were a Chance of striking trouble.

The new times are because the Timing is not set off by the trigger anymore.
It is now set off by the lids opening.
GRV has said it has taken perhaps 2 lengths off the time for the Race.

It will do a good job on the middle grouping of dogs, in your typical race, but not so well at either end of the market.

Would you say, if only the timing mechanism has changed then the time improvement for the first split, would be the same at the 2nd split and then at again at the finish?

I managed to pick up nearly all my losses over the past weeks , especially last night when I went berserk at Traralgon and Geelong.
Now am back to maybe $72 behind my Highest ever Bank.

Cheers!

I guess I may have misunderstood their words.
You would think if it were the Timing is set off .13 seconds later than normal , then ONLY the 1st Split and the Overall would be that amount quicker , but no other Splits.

Great work. Moee...I thought you may have lost the plot there for awhile...
Talking of Traralgon their had their own issues with the times at that track..

Here's a cut and Paste from GRV Website.

CITY SPEED
Friday 29 July, 2011

Sandown sprint times to register 2 to 3 lengths quicker than before

New starting boxes were operated for the first time at Sandown Park last night over the 515 metre race distance.

The new boxes are more accurate in terms of recording race times than ever before, as the timer is now started by the lid rams rather than the starting box handle with the old metropolitan boxes.

As a result, times are going to be around 2 to 3 lengths quicker than was previously the case.

“The old system meant that the timer is triggered just prior to when the lids actually open, whereas with the new boxes the timer begins in line with when the lids open”, said GRV’s Racing & Infrastructure Manager Mark Dooley.

Race times are now more accurate over
Sandown's 515 metres journey.

Greyhound Racing Victoria is in its third year of a Starting Box Replacement and Reconditioning Plan and has installed 13 new or reconditioned sets of starting boxes at Victorian tracks over the last 12 months.

“The Meadows is next on the agenda with their boxes due for replacement in September 2011 and I would anticipate a similar scenario at The Meadows with their race times. GRV is planning for all of Victoria’s tracks to have new or reconditioned starting boxes installed by early next year”, Dooley added.
