Americain coming along very well for David Hayes who may give him an exhibition gallop possibly at the night meeting at Moonee Valley in 2 weeks.

From what I've read Dubai might not happen for Black Caviar. The number one overseas stable goal is to win at Royal Ascot in England. Dubai could happen if it did not interfere with this goal.

Been confirmed, Peter Moody has shelved plans to run Black Caviar at the Dubai World Cup meeting.

Chrome Prince 1st April 2012 07:04 AM

Helmet finished 12th.

Ortensia won by 1.25 lengths with blinkers on for the second time.

Sepoy finished 10th.

So You Think beaten a total of four lengths and finished 4th.
There's no doubt that they've ruined this horse mentally by racing it upside down on an unfamiliar surface in the USA.
Was a successful lay for me, as I had flagged it as a lay, but very sad for all concerned with the horse.

Unlucky Darren Beadman with that injury

kiwiz 6th April 2012 01:03 PM

Ortensia's next target the King's Stand Stakes (1000m)

Rogan Josh 9th April 2012 11:12 AM

Ortensia has now had 30 starts for $1,553,905 earnings. Not bad for a $50K yearling ;)

kiwiz 12th April 2012 04:23 AM

Melbourne Cup-winning owner Sheikh Fahad has offered to boost his sponsorship of the Sussex Stakes (1600m) on August 1 to STG1 million ($A1.56 million), an increase of STG700,000, to entice the world's two best horses, Frankel & Black Caviar, to Goodwood.

Sands 15th April 2012 08:52 AM

I see that Frankel sustained whats thought to be a minor leg injury when working in Newmarket recently
At this stage unlikely to take part in his planned next start, the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on May 19th

Sands 17th April 2012 09:31 AM

Since been talk that Frankel may now retire but connections saying not the case

kiwiz 20th April 2012 06:49 AM

So You Think will stand at Coolmore Stud in the Australian spring
He is expected to have one or two more starts before he is retired

Frankel was cleared to return to training after a scan showed no serious damage from a "superficial" leg injury. The unbeaten colt is now back on course to return in the Lockinge Stakes at Newbury on 19 May following a recent 1400m workout at Newmarket.
